Commander Angsuman Ojha, Indian Navy (Retired)

Mr Amit Gadekar
An articulate, competent and confident Cyber and Information Technology professional, who has an in-depth understanding of business development principles. He has the abilities to think creatively from both the product and commercial prospective and possess the unique experience of identifying the advantages, pitfalls and limits of using IT in business operations. He has deep knowledge of several programming languages and understanding of software interacting with the systems. He has extensively worked on development of technologies in the field of Network securities/Nano Mobile Technologies, these are the fields where he hasgained expertise. Brigadier JM Devdosss, Sena Medal (Retd)
Brigadier JM Devadoss, SM, is a veteran Infantry Officer, 1974 batch, First Officer to be commissioned in the SIKH REGIMENT from Tamil Nadu. In an illustrious career spanning over three decades, he has acquired a rich experience in combat and administrative duties. He had the privilege of commanding two Infantry Battalions, both in active Operations; one in High Intensity Counter Insurgency environment in J&K and the second in Op PARAKRAM, he also has the unique distinction of Commanding the only Amphibian Brigade in India. By virtue of his service through the length and breadth of the country including the island territories of Andaman, he has a deep insight of the peculiarities of people of the country which gives him rare cross cultural competence. He was the only non-psychologist who presented a paper in International Psychological Conference 2008 at New Delhi. He was the Director and Chief Organizer of the Pacific Armies Management Seminar XXVIII at New Delhi in 2004 wherein 52 countries were represented. His experience in disaster management spans both planning and fieldwork. With his experience of Gujarat Earthquake behind him, he was the first person to have voluntarily reached Andaman & Nicobar Islands from Indian mainland on 26 Dec 2004 in the aftermath of the Tsunami disaster. His contribution in relief and rehabilitation of Carnic has earned him legendary fame both within and outside the islands. Even today he is fondly remembered as 'Moses of Andaman' by the islanders. Post retirement, he is He is a Consultant & Trainer, most sought in Crisis or to create New Outfits by a number of large corporate houses.
Brigadier Vinod Kumar Adappa, Sena Medal (Retd)
A decorated soldier with vast and varied operational experience in the Indian Army. He was commissioned into the Indian Army in the year 1981 and commenced his career as a Second Lieutenant from the High Altitude sector of Sikkim on China border. Since then he has participated in almost all operations launched by the Indian Army and has served along Pakistan, Burma, Bangladesh and Nepal borders. He is distinguished in High Altitude Warfare including operations in Siachen Glacier and participated in Counter Insurgency operations in Mizoram, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. While commanding his Battalion in Jammu & Kashmir from 2000 to 2003, soldiers under his command eliminated 87 terrorists. To constructively bring social growth in the troubled area in particular and society in general he has founded two Youth Employment Guidance Nodes for coaching and guiding the unemployed youth in Poonch and Rajouri districts of J&K and later also in Mysore. He was the Dy Director General, NCC, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, guiding approx 90,000 NCC cadets and later he was Commandant of NCC Officers Training Academy, Gwalior. He is very active in youth development post retirement. He has started an organization called 'Youth Empowerment and Guidance Node' in Mysore.
Commodore Shiv Tewari (Retd)
Commodore Shiv Tewari, an alumnus of National Defence Academy, was commissioned into the Indian Navy in January 1990 and then became a Maritime Special Forces leader. His 27 years of diverse experience startedwith Special Forces qualifications like Clearance Diving, Marine Commando Specialization, Bomb Disposal, Field Intelligence and Platoon Weapons. He is a qualified Paratrooper and clandestine Swimmer Delivery Vehicle pilot. He has served tenures in the Counter Terrorist environment at J&K in the backdrop of the Kargil Operations in 1999, commanded an Amphibious Landing Ship, and holds the distinction to be the only officer yet to have commanded all three operational Naval Special Forces MARCOS units in India. He was instrumental in formulating and later executing the changed philosophy of anti terror (post 26/11 carnage) and warship-borne anti piracy (post 2008) operations by the Marine Commandos. His involvement in special forces training, led to his steering international training programs with the US Navy SEALS and Srilankan Special Boat Sections. His many appointments, courses and achievements, culminated in his tenure as an instructor and then the Deputy Commandant of Naval War College, Goa, the Navy's higher education institute and think tank which develops strategic and operational thought in the Indian Navy. Post taking premature retirement he, along with his colleague, started Arista Risk and Corporate Solutions LLP – an initiative aimed towards providing niche solutions to Corporates, Government and Non-Government organisations.
Mrs Manisha Soni
A Versatile and academically accomplished lady, Mrs Manisha Soni changed from a career in teaching to become a sought after yoga trainer, practicing for the past 12 years. She consistently trains and strives to continually update her own knowledge by attending various Yoga workshops/ Camps/ Festivals organised by various schools of Yoga. She has been conducting classes and workshops for beneficiaries from all age groups and cross section of society. Some of these include – Yoga classes for the Naval personnel, their wives and children at various stations; Yoga workshops for Khimji Ramdas Projects, Oman; Celebrated 1st World Yoga Day 21 Jun 2015 Conducting a Six days Yoga workshop at the behest of Lodha Builders; A workshop on Harmonal Health; Workshop on Hath Yoga in daily life for the wives of Indian Navy Sailors; Workshop for the Teachers of Little Angels School, Colaba. Her regular programmes encompass periodic sessions at Yoga Club of Navy Children School, Colaba; Running regular enriching and fulfilling classes for the Naval fraternity since Nov 2014 till date; and Yoga classes for members of Royal Bombay Sailing Club, Colaba Mumbai. She is also a published writer with her work seen in national papers and periodicals such as The Hindu and New Woman. A positive person she seeks to make use of her experiences and qualifications towards teaching and/or training assignments.
Mrs Karen Yadav Tiwari
Born to a family with three generations of military experience, Mrs Karen Yadav Tewari grew up in various parts of our country. A multi-talented lady, she has achievements in various disciplines which range from writing, photography, art, education, media and recently, entrepreneurship. But she has a primal connection with the outdoors, with deep passion about wildlife, the environment and conservation. She has, through the course of her life, volunteered with various NGOs toward conservation and environmental education. Her photographs have been published by reputed publications such as National Geographic, The Hindu, The Citizen and Times of India. She compiled a book on the Andaman Islands which was released in the presence of our Late President, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It is a stimulating narration of the flora, fauna, aquatic life, tribes and journeys within the Islands. Karen is firm in the belief that children today are harmed by growing up disconnected from nature and from each other, spending too much time indoors on gadgets than they do outdoors playing in the fresh air. Putting together this passion, knowledge and accomplishments she runs an enterprise called Kidventure camps for kids, dedicated to get children outdoors for important lesson in – positive thinking and self-worth and the value of teamwork and bonding and the value of real friends as opposed to virtual ones.
Commander Atul Gupta (Retd)
Commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1992, Cdr Atul Gupta is a graduate of the Naval Academy, Goa . He is also graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He is a specialist in submarines and his experience of being resilient and accurate under stress comes from spending his whole career in the navy onboard various submarines and allied executive appointments. He is a specialist in missiles and gunnery. A true sportsman, Commander Atul Gupta has also represented India in the sport of Yachting at world games. He took premature retirement after serving the nation for 25 Years and presently is looking after his parental business and welfare of ex-servicemen. Cdr Atul Gupta is an ardent trekker and regularly takes groups off the beaten track, path-finding and trekking in the himalayas as well as the western ghats.
Commander Samir Mittal, Nao sena Medal (Gallantry), (Retd)
An Ex-Marine Commando officer with over 25 years of experience in coastal and maritime security domain Cdr Samir Mittal has core expertise in maritime and special operations, diving operations and risk management. An alumnus of National Defence Academy, was commissioned into the Indian Navy and joined the Marine Commandos (MARCOS). His 25 years of diverse experience startedwith Special Forces qualifications like Clearance Diving, Marine Commando Specialization, Bomb Disposal, Field Intelligence and Platoon Weapons. He has been part of VIP protection staff at Naval Headquarters. He has commanded a Naval Warship as well as been in command of a Marine Special Forces and executed unit anti-terrorist, counter-insurgency, anti-piracy and diving operations over a wide geographic span. At the Sword Arm of the Indian Navy, the Western Naval Command Headquarters he has worked in close cordinatoion with Police, Fisheries, Shipping and Port authorities to ensure coastal security on the west coast of India. This involvement has also made him the leader of the Indian Navy Team to Rhode Island, USA for customization workshop of Coastal Security & Decision Support. Having taken pre-mature retirement he is Co-founder Arista Risk and Corporate Solutions LLP, and provides niche security solutions to Corporates, Government and Non-Government organisations.
Commander Indrajit Pakrasi (Retd)
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, he was commissioned into the Indian Navy in January 1993. He has a long varied operational experience both at sea as well as ashore , which include assuming responsibility in Command of two ships, one of them, a Cadet training ship of Indian Navy's 1st Training Squadron. His work in the field spans - military operations, humanitarian disaster relief (post tsunami) and community development, operational planning with foreign forces, diplomatic and goodwill assignments (UAE, Indian-subcontinent, East and South East Asia), as well as of multi-million dollar projects implementation pan-India for Defence-Corporate partnerships through combined teams of companies such as Tata Communications, EADS Astrium, Rafael (Israel) to name a few. He was also part of a think tank unit involved in research to shape future policy and procurement in the Navy. Indrajit is a "do-er" with a strong person to person connect. This perceptive handling of each programme, comes from his vast and varied experience in building teams of people of various skill level and expertise, and delivering results every time. An outdoors experiential learning trainer since taking premature retirement, he guides and works alongside other trainers he uses the environment and outdoor terrain to design situations and experiences which psychologically nudges participants to self discovery. He is a trained medical first-responder.

Col Dipanshu Sinha, SM (Retd)
Col Dipanshu Sinha, is a decorated officer and has served over 20 years in the Indian Army as a Combat Helicopter pilot and Infantry leader. He served extensively in conflict zones on the northern borders of the country and has actively participated in a a large number of anti-terrorist operations. As a commanding officer he led & commanded an Infantry Battalion with strength of 1,500+ troops as part of offensive military formations on the Line of Control at heights over 12,000 feet in extreme inhospitable conditions, maintaining sanctity of 50 km of Indo-Pak border. He has proven analytic and problem-solving skills with keen ability to assess needs, define requirements, develop and execute value-added solutions that streamline and improve operating efficiencies. A multifaceted personality, Dipanshu is a self confessed adrenaline junkie and other than being a deep sea diver from PADI Divemaster(USA), a rotary wing pilot, a long distance biker, and a qualified film critic, he also dabbles in creative writing in his spare time.
Commander Neel Oak (Retd)
Commissioned into the Indian Navy on January 1993, Cdr Neel Oak is a graduate of the Naval Academy, Goa. A Submariner in the Indian Navy, he has over 22 years of experience, which gives him a lot to share in developing and mentoring the youth. He is ever-open to take on challenges and has a knack of bringing order and discipline in any organisation. With a hands-on approach , proficient liaising and leadership skills is a great team builder and opens up minds to the importance of team effect. He has Conducted training on administrative excellence and best practices across the board, grass-root upwards. Possessing rich and successful experience under the rigorous and exacting standards of the Navy, he took premature retirement and is presently a dedicated and resourceful Security & Safety Administration, HR Management and Crisis Management Professional offering diverse services.
